This is the moment a man at a cash machine has a lucky escape as he narrowly avoids being crushed by a falling tree that tumbles right next to him.
The startling incident took place in the city of Izmit in the province of Kocaeli in northeastern Turkey during a storm which brought strong winds to the area.

In the video, a man, who has not been named in reports, can be seen at a cash machine when a tree lining the street behind him suddenly begins falling towards him.
He does not spot the huge tree falling until its highest branches crash into him and he manages to step out of the way unharmed.
The tree landed on a car owned by Hasret O. who was in the car at the time but she was unharmed. The car, however, was seriously damaged and a female pedestrian named in reports as Dilek E. was slightly injured in the incident, according to reports.
The emergency services were called to the scene and reports state that paramedics and firefighters arrived, taking the injured woman to hospital while firefighters removed the tree from the road.
There are no updates on the condition of the injured woman.
