A Japanese company is offering funeral services for sex dolls so their owners can bid farewell to their silicone soulmates.
According to local media, the Ningen Love Doll company is offering a range of funerals for sex dolls after carrying out an internet survey where clients asked for the unusual service.
Reports said that Japanese men who became ‘attached’ to their love dolls wanted a way of saying goodbye to them whenever they break or become overused and tatty.
The company offers clients three funeral packages for their silicone soul mates.
The Doll Joint Funeral Plan allows customers to share a service with other love dolls and includes funeral certificates and commemorative snaps for 30,000 JPY (212 GBP).
The Doll Funeral Plan is a personal package where the doll has a funeral with memorial service, plus certificate and commemorative photo or video clip for 50,000 JPY (353 GBP).
The Doll Angel Funeral Plan allows clients to accompany their sex doll to the “processing facility” to attend the funeral in person and read out a eulogy for just 90,000 JPY (635 GBP). A certificate and photo or video are included as well.
