A woman influencer has revealed how extreme facial swelling from cosmetic procedures left her locked out of her own iPhone, which could no longer recognise her face.
The update was shared in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, after adult content Debora Peixoto spoke publicly about what happened after she left an aesthetic clinic following a same-day combination of facial cosmetic treatments on 4th February.
Debora said she was still in the immediate post-procedure phase, with her face visibly swollen, particularly around her lips and cheeks, when she tried to unlock her phone to call her husband for help getting home, only for Face ID to repeatedly reject her.
“My face was so swollen that my phone simply didn’t recognise me,” she said, explaining that she tried unlocking the device from every angle without success.
The situation escalated when repeated failed attempts caused the iPhone to lock itself, cutting her off from the device altogether. “I kept thinking, not even my iPhone knows who I am anymore. My face was completely different,” she said.

The procedure combo included lip filler with hyaluronic acid, cheek fillers and other facial interventions carried out on the same day, a common practice in aesthetic clinics that often causes intense swelling in the first few hours after treatment.
Debora said that when she looked in the mirror and attempted to unlock the phone again, she chose to laugh at the ordeal. “At that moment I thought, that’s it, I ended up with sausage lips. Even Face ID couldn’t handle it,” she joked.
She later described how her face was visibly swollen as she recounted the moment she realised facial recognition was no longer working.
Unable to access the phone through Face ID, she was forced to enter the manual passcode in order to make the call and leave the clinic, with facial recognition only starting to work again days later as the swelling subsided.
Debora is no stranger to public attention, having previously sparked a major social media backlash in Brazil after her relationship with her former stepson, fellow adult content creator Rafa Marttinz, became public earlier this year following the breakdown of her marriage to his father.
That revelation triggered widespread online debate and criticism across Brazilian social media platforms.

In her latest update, she said the Face ID mishap was another reminder of the unexpected consequences of life in the public eye and cosmetic procedures alike.
“We focus a lot on the final result, but we forget that the process exists too. Even something as simple as unlocking your phone can become a problem,” she said.
