How Swedish Photographer Captures Stunning Early-Morning Wildlife Snaps

This is the gruelling early-morning routine Swedish nature photographer Olle Nilsson undergoes to take snaps of a fox den to add more images to his already incredible wildlife collection.

Olle Nilsson, 26, from the Swedish city of Linkoping, works in an electrical shop, but gets up at 3.50am most days to take part in his passion, nature photography.

He shares the images on social media and boasts 1.4 million followers on TikTok and 178,000 on Instagram.

In an exclusive interview with Newsflash, Nilsson said he has been photographing wildlife in nearby forests for around five years.

He added: “When I first started out, I didn’t do any wildlife photography at all. I got my first camera six years ago and didn’t use it much until I tried photographing a few cars and landscapes and thought it was great fun.”

Inspiration struck a year later and Nilsson now aspires to work as a wildlife photographer full time.

He said: “I do it out of love. I also really enjoy being outside. I get to see what the birds are doing and all the other animals, it is the happiest thing.”

Nilsson, who lives with his partner Lisa and one-year-old Algo, said he gets up early most days to take photographs of the wildlife in his area.

Nilsson said: “I started on TikTok a year ago and I’m super proud of the work I have done. Every day I wake up at 3.50am to put content up.”

The nature photographer recently shared a four-minute clip of his early-morning routine, even showing days when the animals don’t show up and he has to go home empty handed.

In the video, he returns to the site the following morning with a new approach, using a camouflaged ‘camp’ that covers him and his camera.

As seen in the footage, Nilsson was able to film a fox cub coming out of its den and basking in the morning sunshine.
