An abandoned baby bunny that bafflingly turned up at a hospital’s casualty unit has found itself a hoppy ending.
The lost leveret had followed a nurse into the clinic in Olawa, Poland, where it immediately found it had fallen on all four of its lucky rabbit’s feet.
Kind-hearted medics fed the youngster and made sure it was warm while they tried to find a place for it in nearby wildlife refuges.
Staff at the Ekostraz Centre in Wroclaw, who found a home for the young bun, revealed the rabbit kit’s stroke of luck in a 19th March social media post.

They explained: “In Olawa there is no hospital for rabbits yet, so it went to a human clinic and it followed one of the employees looking for warmth and food.
“They secured the baby and took it to the nearest rehabilitation centre for wildlife.”
They added: “The baby is only the size of a fist and it came to us extremely hungry and immediately threw itself at the milk.
“Our other rabbits took in the baby like their brother – first sniffing and licking, then full acceptance.
“Elder rabbits quickly took care of it, like any parents would.”
