Gormless Smartphone Zombie Knocked Down By Road Barrier

This is the moment a ‘smartphone zombie’ young woman is hit on the head and knocked to the ground by an automatic barrier as she walks across the road apparently glued to her device.

The incident was filmed in the neighbourhood of Holland Village in the island city-state of Singapore and the footage has been widely circulated on social media.

The ‘Singapore Road Accident’ video was accompanied with the caption: “Look out when crossing the road!”

In the dash-cam footage, the woman is first seen crossing the road in front of the filming motorist.

Further along the road, the driver waits at a barrier at the entrance for Holland Village.

When it is the motorist’s turn to pass through the barrier, the young woman is seen stepping in front of his vehicle while apparently distracted on her smartphone.

The barrier arm lowers and catches the young woman square on the head and she crumples to the ground with her legs kicking up in the air.

Apparently dazed, she then gingerly gets to her feet and scowls at the offending barrier as she walks away from the entrance.
