Golden Retriever Pulls Cow On Rope Home To His Owner

This footage shows a golden retriever bringing home presents for his owner every time he runs off for a walk, including a dead chicken, and a cow at the end of a rope.

The pooch named ‘Xiao Er’ resides in the city of Shaoyang in the central Chinese province of Hunan.

He can also apparently snore on command, one of the popular videos on Douyin – the Chinese market’s version of Tik Tok – shows.

Multiple videos posted by his helpless owner, Liu Sheng, shows him waiting at his front door as his loyal golden retriever returns home each afternoon.

But every day he brings back something different, finding and carrying home discarded items such as a broken wok, an empty cardbox box and even an old umbrella.

His owner says: “He’s loved fetching things since he was a puppy.

“I’ve taught him to bring me sandals, tissues and small stools.

“We’ve been in the countryside since Chinese New Year. Now he brings back things from outside.

“For instance, unwanted things discarded by neighbours, and items he finds at waste dumps. As long as he likes it, he’ll take it.”

Videos show Xiao Er returning with all manner of goods and even bringing back a dead chicken, which the dog is thought to have caught and killed.

In one clip, Xiao Er even drags a cow back to Mr Liu’s home, tugging and leading the animal by a rope.

According to his owner, the dog knows more than 20 other tricks besides fetching all manner of useless things.

Xiao Er demonstrates this by lying down on the floor and snoring on command.

Xiao Er can also do basic addition by barking out a number – as long as the answer is within five, Mr Liu says.
