This is the moment a firefighter revives a kitten that was found drowning on a roof during Typhoon Lekima and the cute cat follows its saviour around after being brought back from the brink.
The incident was filmed in Taman Sutera Idaman in the town of Sungai Petani located in the north-western Malaysian state of Kedah after Typhoon Lekima hit the region last week.

According to local media, the firefighter, identified as Amirul, found the cat’s lifeless body on a flooded roof and lovingly administered chest compressions until it was revived.
In the footage, the Sungai Petani Fire and Rescue Station fireman is seen gently pressing the kitten’s chest until it lets out a single meow.
The feline falls silent again and Amirul continues administering chest compressions with two fingers until it continually meows.
In the next scene, the fluffy black and white cat appears in a better condition as it sits in the fireman’s hand, contentedly meowing away as he strokes it.
Accompanied by a colleague and several onlookers, Amirul puts the kitten on the ground and it is seen moving around after apparently making a full recovery.
At the end of the video, the cat is wrapped in a blanket before being taken away.
There have been no further updates on the cute kitten’s condition or whether it has been reunited with its owners yet.
