The video shows numerous children and their parents at the popular river swimming pool at 6pm local time, with daytime temperatures having reached their mid-30s Celsius.

Kids then flee in fear without grabbing any of their belongings as the boat measuring more than 100 feet long slams into the pool’s barriers, causing a loud crash.

Panic ensues as the barge scrapes along the pool and slams into its tugboat, ‘Teng Hui 25’, injuring five of its six crew members.

Authorities with the Wuzhou Maritime Safety Administration said the barge was attempting a turn on the river Gui when its skipper crashed into the swimming pool and tug boat.

The cargo boat’s four crew members were not injured, and customers at the floating pool were not harmed either.

It is still unclear how much damage has been done as investigations into the crash continue.
