Eurovision Star Conchita Wurst Has New Bald Look

Eurovision superstar Conchita Wurst has stunned fans with her new look after showing up bald at the Grazer Tuntenball, a ball for cross-dressers.

Conchita Wurst, 30, whose real name is Tom Neuwirth, won the 2014 edition of the Eurovision song contest. The star is known to wear wigs and has now taken the bald step of showing what lies underneath.

The singer wore a gorgeous, figure-hugging red dress by hot-shot Austrian couture designer Thomas Kirchgrabner, with earrings and a nose ring.

In 2018, Wurst publicly said she is HIV positive after being reportedly threatened with being outed. She added that she has been receiving treatment for years. 

At the Eurovision Song Contest in 2014, Conchita sang “Rise Like a Phoenix” and came in 1st and famous proclaimed, upon being given her trophy, “we are unity and we are unstoppable”, propelling her to international stardom.

Following her Eurovision success, she performed onstage at Trafalgar Square in central London as the headline act during the city’s annual LGBT Pride Parade on 28th June 2014. She told the Observer at the time: “I don’t want to say the other Prides are less good, but I fell in love with London immediately, so today is a very special day for me. All the drag queens looked stunning.”

She has also modelled for Jean-Paul Gaultier and worn Givenchy for the late Karl Lagerfeld.

She has also performed at the Sydney Opera House.
