Endangered Siberian Tiger Follows Driver On Snowy Road

This is the moment an endangered Siberian tiger is seen following a driver who films it along a snowy road.

The bizarre incident took place just outside the city of Khabarovsk in south-eastern Russia’s Khabarovsk Krai region and was recorded by someone in the car driving along the snow-filled road.

In the video, the Siberian tiger (Tigris tigris) can be seen staring at the car as the vehicle passes the big cat.

The tiger begins slowly walking after the vehicle before it steps onto the road and trots after the car.

Representatives of the Amur Tiger Center later made a statement stressing that the witnesses did the right thing by not leaving their vehicle and overcoming their curiosity not to see the wild cat close up.

They also reminded residents to follow safety instructions.

Netizen ‘Mikhail Levenkov’ said: “Look at this canned food for this tiger.”

And ‘simba_1144’ added: “This is just remarkable.”

While ‘julszubkova’ mentioned: “I really doubt that any human being capable of thinking straight would ever dare leaving the car.”

A 2015 census revealed there was a total population of 562 wild Siberian tigers in Russia and the species is listed as ‘Endangered’ on the International Union for Conservation of Nature’s Red List.
