This is the moment an 81-year-old man standing on a public bus loses his balance and falls to the floor before dying from a spinal injury the following day.
The footage was filmed by a security camera on board the bus in the district of Sariyer, in the Turkish city of Istanbul, on 7th May, but has only surfaced now.

Ender Elicin, 81, a retired engineer, was travelling upright close to the front doors when he lost his balance and fell, slamming his back hard against a railing before falling to the floor.
The driver reportedly alerted the emergency services.
Paramedics treated Elicin at the scene before taking him to Seyrantepe Hamidiye Training and Research Hospital, where he died a day later despite doctors’ efforts to save him.

He had been riding the number 58A service running between Poligon and Kabatas when the accident happened.
Police examined the bus’ security camera recordings and established that the vehicle had been moving at low speed at the moment of the fall.
The driver, identified only as M.B., was detained and questioned before being released under judicial supervision.
Prosecutors have launched an investigation into the incident.
