The beauty queen wife of drug lord ‘El Chapo’ has shared a photo of a Christmas present sent to her by one of his sons who is among the world’s most wanted men.
Jesus Alfredo Guzman Salazar, known as ‘Alfredillo’, one of the US DEA’s top 10 most-wanted fugitives, is believed to have become one of the leaders of the Mexican Sinaloa drugs cartel since his father’s extradition.
Mexican drug kingpin Joaquin ‘El Chapo’ Guzman is currently on trial in New York City, which started on 5th November 2018, on charges related to running the Sinaloa cartel.
His wife, Emma Coronel Aispuro, 29, is in New York to support her husband and has just shared a photograph on social media of a present apparently bought for her by her stepson.
The beautifully packaged gift is labelled: “Happy Christmas! With love, Alfredo.”
Ms Coronel shared the picture to which she had added a banner reading: “Gracias Alfredillo Guzman”, as well as several heart emojis.
Alfredillo regularly posts photographs showing his luxurious lifestyle on social media in which he appears to be taunting the authorities chasing him.
He has shared pictures showing off expensive cars and huge rolls of banknotes.
“Stop doing the right thing, you are going to be judged anyway,” he wrote in one post, adding: “People are not brave enough out of fear of losing, as if they do not know that they will end this life by losing.”
DEA agents are hunting Alfredillo for conspiracy to possess and distribute controlled substances, and conspiracy to import and export controlled substances.
He is suspected of being a major figure in the trafficking of cocaine, heroin and cannabis between Mexico and the USA.
El Alfredillo and his older brother Ivan Archivaldo are believed to be leading the Sinaloa Cartel – immortalised in the Netflix hit show ‘Narcos: Mexico’ – in the absence of their father.
Ms Coronel, a former teenage beauty queen, and ‘El Chapo’ have been together since 2007 and have twin daughters, Maria Joaquina and Emali Guadalupe.
