This is the moment a ‘dust devil’ tornado rips through a public park where a political rally is being held whisking up everything in its path.
The incident took place during a rally for the Barcelona en Comu political party, a citizen platform launched in June 2014 that is currently governing in minority in the city of Barcelona in the eastern Spanish region of Catalonia.

Party members were unveiling the party’s new slogan ‘Ganamos el Futuro’ (‘We Win the Future’) ahead of the Barcelona City Council elections on 26th May.
Mayor of Barcelona since 2015, Ada Colau, the first woman to hold the office, is hoping to be elected as the Barcelona en Comu representative for a second term in the upcoming election.
The video was shared on social media by the political party with the message: “We have more power than they would have us believe!”
In the clip, the mini tornado is seen tearing through the city’s ‘Parc de Glories’ as boxes and leaflets fly through the air and attendees take cover.
At the end of the clip, the whirlwind twists to the far end of the park and eventually dissipates.
Netizen ‘Tayabcn’ said: “Your slogan should be ‘destroying Barcelona’ as there is virtually nothing left after four horrible years.”
‘Missbell767’ commented: “This is a metaphor for your party’s mismanagement!”
