Dog Walker Kicks Yorkie Like Football, Sends It Flying

This is the moment a dog walker is filmed kicking a tiny Yorkshire terrier like a football, sending the poor pooch flying for dozens of feet after claiming it barked at him.

The shocking incident happened inside the Jiaheng Square Residential District in Ningbo, which is a coastal city in East China’s Zhejiang Province, on 26th September.

CCTV footage shows the perpetrator, whose name has been withheld by police, walking towards the Yorkshire terrier while holding his own dog on a lead.

The owner of what appears to be a golden retriever spots the tiny Yorkie barking at him and does not hesitate before kicking it away like a football using the inside of his right foot.

The small pooch goes flying and slides dozens of feet across the ground behind its owner, Mr Zhu, who said he was on the phone at the time of the incident.

Mr Zhu said: “He had his dog and I had my dog. Dogs bark at other dogs.

“He claimed my dog bit him and barked at him, but I don’t know why he kicked my dog.

“I called the police because I didn’t want to get into an altercation with him, but he just kept walking and didn’t stop.”

Mr Zhu revealed he has had his Yorkie for three years, and it is now recovering from broken bones.

Yinzhou District police said they were still mediating talks between the owner, but Mr Zhu is not understood to have press formal charges against the golden retriever owner.

The Yorkie’s owner says he does not want compensation – only a formal apology.

But he claims the man refuses to say sorry.
