Local media report dog owner Kemal Dar, 30, saw that his pet had run onto the roof of the neighbouring building and he tried to rescue the pooch.
Dar reportedly managed to get onto the fourth-floor roof to try and rescue the dog but he then lost his balance and fell down to the pavement below.
In the images, Dar can be seen lying in a pool of blood as a passerby appears to try and stem his blood loss.
Reports state Dar was attended to by onlookers until an ambulance arrived and in the video paramedics can be seen lifting his body onto a gurney before wheeling him into an ambulance and performing CPR.
Dar was taken to the Turgutlu State Hospital but doctors could do nothing to save his life, according to reports.
A police investigation into the case has been launched. It is unclear if the dog was eventually rescued from the roof.
