This is the moment a cute sperm whale calf breastfeeds from its mum in the crystal clear waters off the coast of Ibiza.
The footage was shared on Facebook by ‘Asociacion Tursiops’ and filmed off the coast of Ibiza in the eastern Spanish region of the Balearic Islands.
In the video, a small sperm whale (Physeter macrocephalus) calf is seen attached to its mum’s teat as it feeds next to another whale.

According to reports, the video was filmed by a drone that monitors marine animals in the Mediterranean.
Tursiops scientist Txema Brotons said that drone is mainly used to check if animals are in distress or have been injured by a collision with a passing vessel.
Brotons told Central European News (CEN): “We locate whales and other marine animals, follow them and take pictures of their flippers so they could be identified.
“The video shows a social group between Ibiza and the Iberian peninsula with a calf breastfeeding.
“The animals do not have collision marks, although it is still unclear if we have seen them in the past as we need to check their flippers to identify them. This part of the lab work is being done now.”
According to reports, the whales were spotted in an area with a lot of maritime traffic where the threat of collisions is high.
