Cute Bambi Fawn Has Leg Shredded By Lawnmower

This is the cute deer fawn that had half its leg shredded by a lawnmower while hiding in grass when a field was being landscaped.

The Bambi-like fawn was accidentally injured in the mountain settlement of Godus in the municipality of Sapna located in eastern Bosnia and Herzegovina.

According to reports, a groundsman was cutting the grass on a field when he accidentally ran over the deer’s leg, instantly shredding the lower half in pieces.

The fawn was said to be hiding in the long grass, as is common with deer which often keep their young out of sight from would-be predators.

The injured fawn was treated by a vet and had its leg bandaged, according to local media.

A photo of the cute deer with its leg in bandages was accompanied with the message: “This fawn was injured yesterday while a field was being mowed.

“I want to warn all field owners and groundsmen to pay attention to these innocent animals.”

Netizen ‘Sajla’ commented: “I am sure the guy did not do it intentionally. The fawn was camouflaged in the grass, as nature intended, and an accident happened. I hope it lives on, but unfortunately not in the wild anymore, it will probably live in an animal park.”

‘Mustafa Perenda’ said: “Please help it as much as you can.”

Last year, several Swiss cantons reportedly announced plans to start using drones with infrared cameras to spot deer in fields and prevent them from being injured by mowers.

According to local media, areas in Germany started deploying drones to find deer several years ago
