The bird, whose species cannot be confirmed yet due to its young age, is being cared for in an incubator by NGO worker Dusan Stojanovic.

He said: “It most probably fell from a nearby nest, the couple found it in the grass.

“They kept the eaglet for a day and then called me for advice on what to feed it. They then brought it to us.”

Stojanovic said that the bird was uninjured and we remain in the incubator for between 15 days and a month.

He said: “We are giving it special food and vitamins. It is being looked after in the incubator because it has not started to feather yet and needs to keep warm.”

A spokesperson for ‘Association Zoo Planet Nis’ told Central European News (CEN): “The bird is healthy and developing well. It is eating regularly and we will probably care for it for about two months.”

Netizen ‘Tamara Radojkovic’ commented: “How did it fall from the nest and what height would it have been? Lucky it survived and was found by the right people.”

‘Jelena Stojkovic’ added: “Such a little beauty!”
