These images show how stunned customs officers found a pickled rattlesnake in a jar being smuggled into China.
The incident took place at the Jinling Customs Post Office, in Nanjing, in Jiangsu province, China, on 13th February.
The customs officers said that they seized 1.2 kilogrammes (2.64 lbs) of raw and pickled rattlesnake in a package.
The video footage shows the customs officers removing the jar from a package and opening it.
They then carefully remove the pieces of pickled snake from it.
Pickled rattlesnake is considered an exotic or novelty dish, typically found in regions like the south-western United States, Texas, and parts of Mexico.
The Chinese authorities reminded that it was prohibited to post more cooked meat into the country.
