This is the moment a group of pedestrians band together in a bid to lift a 20-tonne bus off an injured woman who was run over and trapped in the vehicle’s undercarriage.
The accident happened today (5th August) at the junction of Jiefang Road and Dongfeng Street in Ziyang County, which is in the city of Weinan in north-western China’s Shaanxi Province.

According to reports, the woman was riding an electric moped when she was struck and run over by the number 11 bus.
The victim ended up trapped underneath the vehicle with her legs visible on the street, an image of the accident showed.
The group of witnesses rushed over and the video shows around two dozen men lifting the right side of the bus, repeatedly shouting “one, two, three!” as they do so.
The woman was reportedly pulled out from the undercarriage, and a picture shows a uniformed man – believed to be the bus driver – crouching over her bloodstained body.
The victim is still receiving treatment at a local hospital, with the exact extent of her injuries still unclear.
Local authorities are investigating the case, though no arrests had been announced at the time of writing.
