Crooks Caught Smuggling Heroin With Sweets To London

Mexican cops have seized a parcel of sweets which actually contained heroin and were about to be shipped to London.

The Mexican National Guard reportedly seized the sweets after they were found by the staff of a courier service in the municipality Venustiano Carranza in the Mexican capital of Mexico City in central Mexico.

Reports state the drugs were found after a parcel with the 59 sweets, which are made of tamarind pulp, was X-rayed by the security staff of the courier service. The package was reportedly about to be sent to London.

According to the Mexican Secretariat of Security and Civilian Protection (SSPC) agents from the Federal Police found the sweets in plastic bags inside a box and they contained a black, crystallised and grainy substance that later was confirmed as heroin.

The exact amount of heroin hidden inside the sweets has not been reported.

The cargo was seized and taken to the Public Ministry of the Federation who have launched an official investigation. No arrests have been reported.

The pictures show the 59 tamarind sweets which were seized as well as cops opening the package they were found in.
