A bride-to-be has complained to police after a Botox jab left her with a visibly drooping eyelid that medics say may not recover before her wedding.
The incident took place in a residential complex in the Sumer neighbourhood of Zeytinburnu district, on the European side of Istanbul, on 13th May.
Bride-to-be Idil Keten reportedly visited a man identified as K.M.A. at his home after he presented himself as a doctor and carried out the procedure.

She had previously received lip filler treatment from the same man and returned for Botox after saying she had been satisfied with the earlier result.
But the procedure was allegedly carried out at his residence, which had no formal clinic or workplace licence.

Nine days after the injection, Idil said she noticed her left eyelid beginning to droop and felt heaviness around the eye.
She later sought medical advice after the condition worsened and failed to improve.
Idil contacted K.M.A. and claimed he told her the symptoms could be linked to an infection or flu-related condition rather than the Botox.

Hospital doctors allegedly told her the drooping had been caused by Botox being injected into the wrong muscle and warned the effects could last up to six months.
Idil said: “I had a Botox procedure on 13th May. I had previously also had filler done there. I went because I was satisfied, but after having the latest Botox, my eyelid ended up like this.
“About nine days after the Botox, I started feeling heaviness in my eyelid and noticed it began to droop.”
She claimed the man gave no apology or offer of help and continued to deny that the Botox was responsible.

Idil also said she was later told he had previously worked as a practitioner abroad but did not have legal authorisation to practise in Turkey.
She has since filed a complaint with police and called for action to be taken, saying she is worried about the impact on her wedding, which is due in three months.
Idil added: “I hope the authorities do what is necessary. Please don’t be fooled into going to places like this or trusting people like this.”
The investigation into the complaint is understood to be ongoing.
