Biker Rides 3000 Miles With Cat Perched On Shoulder

This Russian biker has travelled over 3,000 miles at speeds of up to 75mph with his cute cat perched on his shoulder.

Semyon Vityazev, 33, from the town of Usolye-Sibirskoye in the central Russian region of Irkutsk Oblast bought Lackey the cat 15 months ago when it was a tiny kitten.

He started off by taking the kitten on motorbike rides in his pocket before fixing a basket for his four-legged pal.

However, Vityazev said the cat’s preferred position was climbing up on his shoulder and following the road.

To keep the cute cat secured, Vityazev ties a lead to his body which he can use to control the animal’s movements if needed.

The biker claims that the cat is not afraid though, not even when accelerating at speeds of 120 kph (75 mph).

Vityazev told Newsflash that he has been riding his motorbike for three years and that Lackey has accompanied him on trips totalling over 5,000 kilometres (3,107 miles).

He added that Lackey has become more than just a pet for him and he treats the moggy as an equal.

Netizen ‘Marina Serevro’ commented: “Does the cat really like bike rides or does it have no choice?”

‘Ivan Nagorny’ said: “If the cat was frightened, it wouldn’t sit calmly on his shoulder.”
