Badly-Scarred Woman Speaks About Horrific Acid Attack

This once beautiful young woman has spoken about the shocking acid attack she suffered last year which left her with horrific facial injuries and a damaged right eye.

The victim, identified as Esmeralda Millan, said she was attacked when she revealed she wanted to end her relationship with the man accused of carrying out the attack because of the physical abuse she says she had already suffered at his hands.

Reports said that she waited until her children were no longer babies before splitting with the man, identified as 28-year-old Fidel N., who reportedly never accepted her decision to leave the relationship.

On 2nd December 2018, the suspect and three accomplices allegedly attacked the victim while she was walking on the street in the municipality of Cuautlancingo in south-eastern Mexican state of Puebla with her 43-year-old mum Veronica Gonzalez.

The victim’s ex-partner allegedly sprayed acid on her face, neck and chest. Her mother was also burned on her hands when she tried to help.

Millan then spent the next three months in hospital after suffering serious facial injuries and damage to the cornea of her right eye, according to local media.

Reports also said that the acid perforated her oesophagus.

Even though Fidel was arrested and charged with attempted femicide, the victim still fears for her life as the other three alleged suspects are still free.

Millan said: “He never thought about the damage he was doing to them [the children].”

Her mother Veronica said they both live in fear because the three alleged accomplices are free and know where they live.

It is currently unclear when Fidel N. will stand trial.
