Amur Tiger That Hunted Dogs Caught And Relocated

An Amur tiger that hunted people’s dogs has been caught and relocated after it was filmed feasting on the carcass of a poor pooch.

The incident took place in the village of Barabash, in Primorsky Krai in far-eastern Russia on Sunday, 3rd February.

The first video shows the tiger being released back into the wild.

Its cage, on the back of a pickup truck, is opened remotely and after a few growls, the large predator jumps out and runs off into the wild.

The second video shows the tiger shortly after it was caught and caged.

The third video shows the tiger apparently feasting on a dog it had killed, with the animal’s blood seeping into the snow as the tiger tucks into its meal.

It emerged alongside reports that the predator terrorised the village and targeted and killed pet dogs tied to a chain.

Officials said that it was a healthy male Amur tiger (Panthera tigris tigris), also known as a Siberian tiger. Which is listed as endangered on the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN’s Red List of Threatened Species).
