These touching images show how a cat has become unlikely friends with a huge guardian dog and the pooch now lets it ride around on its back.
The images, filmed in Kabardino-Balkaria, in the North Caucasus, in Russia, show the dog, an Alabai, also known as a Central Asian Shepherd Dog, called Aiyu, letting the white cat, named Barsik, ride around on his back.
The video shows the cat and dog duo walking up a mountain, with some melting snow still on the ground.

The video then shows the dog giving an area of interest a sniff while the man filming calls to the cat.
But it merely meows back at him and remains firmly perched on top of the dog, who begins to venture away, showing the cat displaying balancing skills as it clutches its friend’s back tightly.
