This is the moment an 11-year-old girl manages to fight off a kidnapper after he grabs her and the girl then sprints to safety.
The startling incident occurred outside the block of flats where the girl lives in the the Ilkadim district of Samsun province in Turkey.
In the video, the 11-year-old girl, identified in reports by the initials E.S. can be seen walking through a gate when a man in dark clothing, identified in reports as M.K. grabs her and leads her back towards the road.
The man can be seen trying to drag the young girl down the pavement as she puts up a fight.
The youngster manages to get out of the man’s grip and sprints back towards the block of flats as he follows her.
The man walks into the complex but quickly changes his mind and sprints away.
Local media report the girl ran to her father, identified in reports as M.S., and told him what had happened.
The father then filed a complaint with the police and an investigation was launched with suspect M.K. being arrested the following day, according to reports.
The investigation is ongoing and it is unclear if the suspect has been charged.
