11yo Boy Dies Of Heart Attack After Schoolyard Beating

This adorable school boy has died after suffering a heart attack following an alleged schoolyard fight in which he was beaten up.

Local media report the boy, named in reports as Lautaro died last week in the city of Zarate in the northeast of the Buenos Aires province of Argentina where he lived with his family.

According to the child’s mother Leonela, her son started bleeding by his nose and his mouth when he was at home in the evening and that same day he had been involved in a fight at school.

Leonela told TV channel ‘Eltrece’: “I would have liked the school to have told me that he had a fight or that he had bled […] I only got to know when the other parents told me.”

She said that her son told her he was feeling sick and that he had bled at school but he never told her about a fight, and neither did the teachers.

She added: “When I took the boy to the hospital I did not know what to tell the doctor, I only told him what happened at home. The school never called me or told me anything, I was only told by the parents and the children later.”

According to local media, the boy was taken to the Hospital San Jose de Campana where he suffered a heart attack while he was examined by doctors.

The first autopsy did not find wounds on his body that could have caused the death of the child and it was determined the cause of death was “sudden death” following the heart attack.

According to the head of the Investigative Police Unit (UFI) Matias Ferreiros, they need to wait for the results of a more thorough exam of the intestines and blood of the boy’s corpse to reveal more details about the cause of death.

The local authorities have reportedly launched an investigation and a teacher from the boy’s school has been temporarily suspended as a precautionary measure.

It is unclear if any students at the school are being investigated.
